There were news earlier about Devi Sriprasad showing interest in acting. But, it seems that those were not mere rumors.

Now he has confirmed that news. While speaking to a tamil news channel about this, he said, "My intention was to achieve many things in music. But my friends and fans are forcing me to do hero roles. Because of this I have decided to do hero role this year. I will be doing lead role in a film produced in Tamil and Telugu languages. I am in look out for a good director to direct this musical film.”

MS Raju is planning to produce the movie with Devi Sri and Hansika(oops, its not Charmi..) as lead roles.
